The founders of Wine Amplified Festival, Chris Hammond and Sonny Barton, first hosted the Rock ’n Roll Wine event from the comfort of their own backyards for family and friends who shared a deep passion for wine and music. The event concept quickly escalated in demand and grew to become a world-class wine and music festival held annually at MGM Resorts Village in Las Vegas, attracting over 20,000 guests! The two-day festival features interactive wine tasting experiences with over 200 varieties of premium wine and craft beer.

To elevate the guest event experience, Wine Amplified Festival has partnered with Intellitix for RFID Access Control and Cashless Payments for two consecutive years. Get ready to ‘Rock Out With Your Cork Out!’

Our Intellitix Approach

The event organizers of Wine Amplified Festival wanted to go above and beyond what they had previously done in the past by introducing cutting edge RFID technology solutions at their event. In partnering with Intellitix, guests received RFID wristbands to conveniently use as their ticket to enter the festival and digital wallet to make cashless purchases for all wine, beer, and food samples.

To ensure seamless adoption of the new RFID technology, Wine Amplified communicated with patrons in advance through their website, social media, and email blasts on how to use the RFID wristbands, what is Cashless Payments and its many benefits, and how to top-up ‘Festival Bucks’ – the digital event currency. To further incentivize customers and boost top-up numbers leading up to the event, Intellitix’s RFID platform delivered a $5 bonus credit incentive for every $50 topped-up.

In preparing existing and new vendors on how to use the new contactless payment system, the Intellitix team provided vendor and staff training on the cashless POS terminals, ensuring flawless execution once event doors opened. All of the vendors were able to quickly learn the ins and outs of the system and within minutes, saw the numerous benefits of the Cashless Payment system.

Intellitix’s RFID technology proved to be robust, reliable, and user-friendly for guests and vendors. With a fast and secure double-tap of an RFID wristband, guests enjoyed wine tasting and craft beer samples, while rocking out to some of the most popular music bands in the world. Wine Amplified continues to amplify their guest event experience with RFID technology and offer a premium wine and music event along the Las Vegas Strip.
